Before you start exploring each one or all the exercises below it’s extremely important to keep in mind that “values are like a compass that gives you direction and reflect what truly matters to you.”
Values are “desired qualities of ongoing action” and therefore “valuing” is an ongoing process and different from goals. For example, a goal is to get a job as teacher and the value is to do meaningful work for the students.
One more thing before you start: While identifying your values is important, acting on them will make a true difference. At the end of the day, you live your values with your “feet.”
